CAPE TOWN ATTRACTIONS; THE PARKS OF
THE EASTERN CAPE AND GARDEN ROUTE
Spend 3 days in the beautiful
Cape, experiencing all the wonders this
city has to offer – from the “world
famous” Table Mountain and the
evenly well known Robben Island and Cape Point to
the lush green valley
of the Winelands.
We will also visit Hermanus, well-known for its
wonderful Whale
Watching opportunities on our return journey from
the Garden Route.
Once we have explored the Cape Town attractions
we head out to the
scenically beautiful Garden Route, just as popular
amongst locals as
it is amongst tourists. Here you will enjoy the
many attractions to
the area, and enjoy some of the top class luxury
hotels we have
chosen. Our Eastern Cape Big 5 Safaris will be a
combination of 2 Top
Five Star Safari Game Reserves including Addo Elephant
Park and
Shamwari Game Reserve in Malaria Free areas. There
is no better place
to get up close and personal to Africa’s greatest
animals. We return
towards Cape Town to the very popular coastal part
of the Garden Route
of South Africa. This includes areas such as Knysna
and Plettenberg
Bay. We end a perfect tour in Cape Town after some
great Whalewatching

Day 01: CAPE TOWN – V & A
WATERFRONT
DAY AT LEISURE TO REST OR ENJOY WATERFRONT
Upon arrival at Cape
Town’s International Airport, you will be
met by
a representative of CAPE TEAM TOURS. This will be
an English-speaking,
registered tour guide that will welcome you into
South Africa’s
popular “Mother City”-Cape Town. Your
guide will transfer you to your
hotel, situated within the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront
complex.
After check-in, there will be some time to relax
and freshen up after
your long flights. Rest or go and explore the Waterfront.
Dinner will
be served at your hotel, or at the Sea Palace-Chinese
Restaurant.

Day 02: CAPE TOWN –TABLE MOUNTAIN
and ROBBEN ISLAND
We depart from the Victoria
and Alfred Waterfront for our short city
tour with today’s highlights being visiting
Table Mountain and the
evenly well renowned Robben Island. Once we get
to the Lower Cable
Station we will board the revolving cable car with
a capacity of 65
people. The ride to the Table Top will take about
5 minutes only. The
mountain offers staggering birds – eye views
of the city, the Peninsula
and the Waterfront. Enjoy about 2 hours on the mountain
before we get
to our Ferry for our Robben Island tour. Robben
Island is one of South
Africa’s best known World Heritage Sites.
The Ferry trip is about 25
minutes to the island. The island was a prison for
many years and also
was a prison for those punished that resisted the
white oppressive
rule during the Apartheid years. One such a person
was our previous
Presedent-Mr NELSON MANDELA.

Day
03: CAPE TOWN – CAPE OF GOOD HOPE and CAPE
POINT
Highlights: Cape of Good
Hope and Penguins
This
exiting tour takes in all the important sights of
the Peninsula
in one full day. We collect customers at 09h00 from
their Hotel. We
firstly travel from the city via Bantry Bay, Clifton,
and Camps Bay to
Hout Bay Harbour where a short boat cruise to Seal
Island to see our
large Cape Fur Seal colony can be enjoyed.
Our journey takes us along two coastal passes:
Chapman’s Peak and Victoria Road which are
renowned for their
magnificent scenery. We drive through the quaint
seaside villages of
Noordhoek and Kommetjie.
Our journey continues towards the Cape of Good Hope
Nature Reserve and
Cape Point. At Cape Point one can walk and/or take
the funicular to
the look out point for a panoramic view of the dramatic
Southwestern
edge of Africa. Lunch can be enjoyed at a restaurant
on the way, on
the client’s own account.
We travel from Cape Point to Boulder’s Beach,
a cluster of beaches
situated among huge granite boulders, forming a
protected shoreline,
which is home to one of only two penguin colonies
on the False Bay
coast. Leaving Simon’s town, we travel via
Muizenberg back to Cape
Town.
Activities included: Seal island cruise, Park entry
fee to Cape Point
Nature Reserve, Funicular and Boulders Beach Entry
to Penguins.
Day 04: GARDEN ROUTE –CAPE TOWN
to OUDTSHOORN
Highlights/Routing: Cape
Town-Worcester-Montagu-to Oudtshoorn.
Winelands of Paarl-Breede River Valley-Route 62-Klein
Karoo- Capital
of the Ostrich World
We
depart from your Cape Town Hotel at 09H00. and travel
past the
Winelands of Stellenbosch, Paarl to the Huguenots
Tunnel (4.9 km).We
arrive in Worcester which is part of the Breede
River Valley Wine
Region. We will do a winetasting at one of the Breede
Rivers many
wineries on route to Montagu. Enjoy the wonderful
scenery which
changes from lush orchards to dramatic mountain
views as we get closer
to the Little Karoo as we travel along Route 62
, formerly known as
the” Fruit Route”. We will be passing
through Barrydale for our lunch
stop at the Country Pumpkin. Time permitting we
will make a brief stop
in Calitzdorp, famous for their quality Port before
we get to
Oudtshoorn, the centre of the Ostrich Feather boom
about 100 years ago
and known as the “Feather and Ostrich Capitol
of The World.
Overnight at a 4-star hotel/ guest house on a dinner,
bed and
breakfast basis in Oudtshoorn: MOOIPLAAS GUEST FARM
or similar.

Day 05: GARDEN ROUTE – OUDTSHOORN
• Highlights
• Premier Ostrich Show Farm
• World famous Cango Caves
• Cango Wildlife Ranch with Crocs and Cats
of the world.
We enjoy our early morning breakfast at this top
class Guest Lodge
before we depart to a Premier Ostrich Show Farm
for some unforgettable
experiences. Riding an ostrich is certainly not
for the fainthearted.
We continue to the world famous Cango Caves after
our exiting
encounters with Ostriches. The Cango CAVES IS THE
SECOND MOST VISITED
NATURAL ATTRACTION IN SOUTH AFRICA BEHIND Table
Mountain .Enjoy this
wonderland of stalactite and stalagmite formations.
We end this
exiting day with a visit to one of Oudtshoorn’s
most popular tourist
attraction – the Cango Wildlife Ranch, where
one can observe cheetahs,
lions, jaguars, pumas and white Bengal tigers. The
Cango Wildlife
Ranch and its breeding centre is carefully designed
so that its more
than 47 species of animals and reptiles can roam
peacefully in
comfortable natural enclosures, giving visitors
the opportunity to
closely observe, and in some cases, interact with
a wide variety of
unusual and endangered animals such as Tiger Cups
and newly born
Cheetahs. You will also have the unique opportunity
to stroke a live
cheetah!!

Day
06: GARDEN ROUTE – OUDTSHOORN TO ADDO ELEPHANT
PARK, NGUNI LODGE.
We depart Oudtshoorn
to the town of De Rust, Uniondale to Addo.
After breakfast, we will make our way inland, towards
the Little Karoo
towns of De Rust, Uniondale towards Port Elizabeth
.We leave The
Garden Route behind to get to the Eastern Cape Province
. Just 70 km
from Port Elizabeth, we will arrive at our five
(5) star lodge in the
afternoon.
Hidden within the Malaria-Free Eastern Cape we arrive
at Nguni River
Lodge which lies in Addo Elephant National Park,
the third largest
national park in South Africa. Included in your
stay are welcome
drinks on arrival, high tea, two game drives (refreshments
will be
served on game drives), five-course dinners. Addo
Elephant Park has
arguably the best Elephant viewing in South Africa.
Addo Park is also
the domain of the Cape Buffalo, Black Rhino, Lion
and many other
antelope species and a wealth of Birdlife.

Day
07: GARDEN ROUTE – ADDO PARK to SHAMWARI PRIVATE
GAME RESERVE
We start the day with
another Safari Trip in Addo in our search for
the Big Five. Enjoy lunch at Nguni lodge before
we depart to Shamwari
Private Game Reserve. Shamwari is the ultimate luxury
Big Five African
SAFARI adventure. The reserve has received numerous
international
awards for the World’s Leading Conservation
Company and Game Reserve
for many consecutive years .Luxury accommodation
is offered in 7
different lodges in the reserve. At Shamwari they
would like you to
have a “Safari of a lifetime” and therefore
a private, personal game
ranger is assigned to a specific group. Game viewing
is carried out
during the mornings and afternoons in Shamwari.Getting
to Shamwari
after lunch we will be able to do a Sundowner trip
today to finish
another exiting day in Africa.

Day 08: GARDEN ROUTE-PORT ELIZABETH
TO KNYSNA
We stand up for some
more game viewing this morning .A three to four
hour Safari drive is on our program up to about
lunch time. Leave
Shamwari after lunch to the city of Port Elizabeth.
We will do a very
short City tour of Port Elizabeth and relax for
the rest of the
afternoon. Catch up on some lost Eastern Food this
evening in this
friendly city. We overnight at the lovely Admiralty
Beach House which
offers unique, luxury units that is comfortable
and private.
Day 09: GARDEN ROUTE-PORT ELIZABETH
TO KNYSNA

LAGOONSIDE TOWN of KNYSNA
Today
we travel further along the Garden Route. Spectacular
scenery
includes the Indian Ocean breakers, pounding rocky
shores beneath up
to 216 m high cliffs and ever-green forests. This
part of the
coastline has very rocky ravines and we will stop
at two of
these-Stormsriver and Bloukrans Bridges. Bloukrans
is also known to be
the highest commercial Bungee Jump in the world.
We will arrive in the
late morning at the Tsitsikamma National Park after
our visit to one
of the bigger giants of the Forrest – an 800
year old yellowwood tree.
We explore Plettenberg before arriving in the holiday
village of
Knysna – this quaint town has been voted South
Africa’s favorite town
for a few years. It is the place of adventure, with
everything from
extreme sports, golfing to the more relaxing pleasures
of arts, crafts
and culture.
The Waterfront at the Knysna Quays is a popular
destination for
tourists and locals alike, and offers unusual restaurants,
bookshops,
clothes, gifts and jeweler stores and therefore
we will make some time
for shopping. Knysna is also noted for its superb
oysters, which is
cultivated within the Knysna Estuary.
Tonight we stay at the five star SIMOLA Hotel and
Spa-set high up in
the hills above Knysna. Simola commands an awesome
view of the entire
surroundings, taking in rolling green hills and
valleys and a great
view of the lagoon and the famous Knysna Heads.

10: GARDEN ROUTE –SIMOLA TO HERMANUS

Today
we travel further along the Garden Route via WILDERNESS
to
Mossel Bay. Learn more of the Portuguese History
in their search for
the sea route to India .We also gets the opportunity
to see a 500 year
old Milkwood Tree known as the Post office Tree
in witch a letter was
found centuries ago. The ladies will be given the
opportunity to visit
an Aloe Factory/Shop in the area of Albertinia.
This area is very
popular for this huge export product of South Africa.
We get to
historical Swellendam for lunch. Arrive late afternoon
in Hermanus for
our first sightings of Southern Right Whales.
Overnight
at Marine Protea Hotel.The Marine is perched on
top of the
cliffs at Hermanus; this hotel has one of the southern
hemisphere's
most spectacular seascapes. The Marine has 42 individually
decorated
bedrooms and suites, each with its own private facilities.
Commanding
views extend across Walker Bay or over the beautiful
internal
courtyard, finely manicured gardens and the Overberg
Mountains.
DAY
11: GARDEN ROUTE –HERMANUS TO CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL
Our last day of touring will be
very relaxed as we wake up with the
beautiful views over Walker Bay in Hermanus .This
will be our last
opportunity to see a Southern Right Whale breaching.
We make our way
back to Cape Town to be in time for your flight
back home.
