PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
THEY LIMIT OUR LIABILITY AND OUTLINE THE CONDITIONS
UNDER WHICH YOUR TOUR WILL OPERATE. ACCEPTANCE OF
THE TOUR DOCUMENTS REPRESENT AN ACCEPTANCE BY THE
CUSTOMER OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS FOLLOWS:
1. RESERVATIONS
A non refundable deposit of 10% of the total price,
but not less than ZAR200.00 is payable at the time
of making your reservation. The balance of the fare
is due not later than 30 days prior to departure.
We reserve the right to cancel any reservation for
which the total fare has not been paid by the due
date, in which case the deposit will be forfeited.
Reservations will be considered as firm bookings
(subject to final and full payment received on the
prescibed time) as soon as the deposit has been
received by us.
2. GUARANTEED DEPARTURES
Except where otherwise stated, our tours WILL OPERATE
irrespectively of the number of passengers. We reserve
the right to utilise different sizes of vehicles
than those indicated, depending on the number of
passengers.
3. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
No inoculations or vaccinations are required at
the time of going to print, but we recommend that
you check with your doctor or local health department.
People arriving in South Africa from a yellow fever
zone must have a valid international yellow fever
inoculation certificate. Infants under the age of
one year are exempt. An anti-malaria drug is strongly
recommended in certain areas of the far northeastern
section of South Africa, please check with us.
4. PASSPORT
Please check with your travel agent regarding requirements
for passports and visas or contact us with the following
information: Your country of residence, your nationality
and which country your passport was issued in. If
you need to obtain a visa before arriving in South
Africa and you are joining the SCDA, SCDB, SCMD,
SCMJ, SCDG and/or SCJD tour, please ensure that
your visa is valid for multi-entry into South Africa
and also check your visa requirements for Swaziland
and Lesotho (whichever is applicable) as we travel
through these countries and enter South Africa again.
If any of your tours take you to Namibia, Botswana,
Zimbabwe, Zambia or Mozambique you have to check
passport and visa requirements beforehand.
NOTE: PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR PASSPORT HAS AT LEAST
TWO CLEAR PAGES SIDE BY SIDE WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT
THE SOUTH AFRICAN PASSPORT CONTROL. The passport
control is very strict regarding this and they will
not allow you to enter the country! When on an extended
journey, please allow space for visa stamps before
you arrive in South Africa.
5. TOUR PRICES
Tour prices include transportation, accommodation,
some meals, most entrances, stipulated activities
and open vehicle safaris, etc. as stipulated in
our itineraries. If you are not sure what is included
when booking your tour, please check with us.
6. LUGGAGE
Luggage is limited to 20 kg per person. Please advise
us your before departure if this weight is to be
exceeded.
7. CANCELLATION CHARGES
The following cancellation charge will apply in
respect of travel arrangements:
More than 30 days – no cancellation will be
charged (For groups of more than 10 people please
check with us)
21 to 29 days prior to departure - 25% of full tour
price (Subject to hotel cancellation policy)
10 to 20 days prior to departure - 50% of full tour
price (Subject to hotel cancellation policy)
Less than 10 days prior to departure - 80% of full
tour price on scheduled tours (Subject to hotel
cancellation policy on private, special and tailor-made
itineraries)
NOTES: This cancellation policy may change for tour
arrangements other than our scheduled tours and
will depend on the policies of the establishments
utilised. Cancellation fees on scheduled tours will
be calculated on the full published tour price excluding
most specials or discounts that may have been afforded
at the time of buying the tour - please check with
us when confirming your tour.
8. INSURANCE CHARGES
We strongly recommend that you insure yourself against
possible cancellation, personal accident, medical
expenses, loss of luggage, etc. Please contact us

9. LIABILITY
We reserve the right to make, with or without notice,
changes to vehicles, accommodation, meals, schedules,
sightseeing or routes whwere deemed necessary by
us as a result of unforeseen circumstances without
liability to Southern Circle Tours & Safaris
or the passenger. However, our pledge is to ensure
at least a similar experience and quality.
10. RESPONSIBILITY
We give notice that, although it is our endeavour
to ensure smooth execution of all arrangements within
reason, that all such arrangements for transport
and conveyance and accommodation are made by us
as agents upon the express condition that we accept
no responsibility of liability in respect of either
person or property for injury, damage, loss, accident,
delay or irregularities which may be occasioned
either by reason of any defect in any vehicle or
through the acts or defaults of any company or persons
engaged in conveying the passengers or carrying
out arrangements of the tour therewith or any accommodation,
establishment or servant.
